When the snow starts to fly in Radium Hot Springs, the Village becomes a cozy skiers’ haven.
With three world-class skiing destinations within 35 kilometres, there is no shortage of places to revel in the season. Choose from downhill skiing on one of our nearby resorts, or head out for a cross-country ski on a groomed trail.
Panorama Mountain Resort is perfect for those looking for a full mountain experience, with 2,975 acres of terrain and 133 trails. Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, south of the Village, boasts a beautiful family-friendly ski area and access to the Fairmont Hot Springs Pools. Nipika Mountain Resort is the all-sport refuge of the Columbia Valley, with over 50km of groomed cross-country ski trails.
Make the Village of Radium your basecamp to head out for skiing adventures, then take a dip in the Radium Hot Springs pools to warm up in the evening.
Downhill Skiing
Panorama Mountain Resort

Panorama Mountain Resort has a world-class ski hill featuring 10 chairlifts and 133 ski runs.
The Resort offers a variety of terrain, lessons, and activities for all skill levels. Other winter activities at Panorama Mountain Resort include snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and fat biking.
Panorama has a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as gear rentals.
Fairmont Hot Springs Resort
Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is the perfect slope for any skill level! With three lifts and 12 runs, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is an adventure for the whole family. After your day of skiing, relax in the namesake Fairmont Hot Springs Pools or grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants.
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort
North of Radium Hot Springs, in Golden, lies Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. This Resort offers varied and complex terrain and a gondola.
Cross-country Skiing
Nipika Mountain Resort

Nipika Mountain Resort, located a 30-minute drive from the town of Radium, offers 50 km of spectacular cross-country ski trails groomed for both skate and classic technique.
Catch beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains and Kootenay River on trails for all skill levels. Other winter activities include fat biking, snowshoeing, skating, and tobogganing.
Panorama Mountain Resort

Panorama has a 20 km network of cross-country ski trails running through the forest and alongside Toby Creek.
Lake Windermere Whiteway

The longest skating trail in the world also has a cross-country skiing track when conditions permit. Glide across the lake on the Whiteway trails and take in the views of the Columbia Valley.
Lake Lillian Whiteway and Junior Johnson
The Lake Lillian Whiteway, located just 10 minutes from Invermere, is a beautiful 3 km cross-country skiing track groomed for both classic and skate when conditions allow. Cross the road and ski through the treed trails of the Junior Johnson.
