Day 1: Enjoy the Journey

Explore Kootenay National Park

The journey to Radium Hot Springs is almost as beautiful as the destination! If you are travelling from the east, enjoy the scenic drive from Alberta through the Kootenay National Park. Take your time along the derive and take in the many scenic stops along the way.

Explore the Trails

Explore the trails around the Village of Radium to get the best view. Some highlights include the Old Coach Trail for sweeping views of the Columbia Wetlands, the Sinclair Creek Trail for an easy forested loop, or the Juniper-Sinclair trail for unbeatable views of the Sinclair Canyon & Sinclair Falls. Or, head further into Kootenay National Park for short viewpoint hikes and longer day treks.

Walk Main Street and check out the businesses along the way to pick up a new treat, such as the Old Tyme Candy Shoppe to fuel your explorations about town!

Stop in at the Visitor Centre

The Radium Visitor Information Centre is a must-see! Check out interpretive displays, indigenous information & artwork, and loads of information after chatting with friendly staff.
