3-Day Spring Retreat to Radium Hot Springs: Itinerary

Escape to the warm side of the Rockies this spring with a relaxing 3-day trip to Radium Hot Springs. 

Located in British Columbia, Radium offers a unique mix of activities where you can ski, golf, and soak in natural hot springs—all in one day. With warmer temperatures than most of the Canadian Rockies, it’s the perfect spot for a springtime getaway.

Day 1: Explore the Scenery 

Explore Kootenay National Park

Walk the Village

Once you get settled into your accommodation take a stroll through the cozy Village of Radium and visit the great shops. Grab a treat at one of the local coffee shops or indulge in some sweets at Old Tyme Candy Shoppe.  

Savour a World of Flavours

Find everything from authentic Austrian cuisine at Helena’s Stube and The Old Salzburg to modern Mexican cuisine and craft cocktails at Don Agave. Or simply relax with a pint on the patio at Radium Brewing with authentic Quebec poutine and Montreal smoked meat, courtesy of The Snack Bar next door. There are many options to choose.

Day 2: Adventure Time

Get Golfing

Play a round of at the The Springs or the Radium golf courses. 

The Springs Course, set high along the banks of the mighty Columbia River, has earned its reputation as one of Canada’s premier golf destinations and offer exceptional service. 

The Radium Course is an affordable, popular, playable family-friendly experience for all levels, making it a perfect complement to The Springs. 

Whichever you choose, between the snow-capped Purcell Mountains to the west and the imposing Rockies to the east, the biggest challenge will be keeping your eye on the ball! 

Explore the Trails

Embark on a quick hike and experience the awe-inspiring scenery that envelops you. Find tucked-away trailheads leading to stunning viewpoints, waterfalls, rivers, and lakes. Skip the long drives and head out on a trail right from town. Find the perfect one for you with our list of local hikes. 

Relax and Rejuvenate

After a long day of adventuring head up to the Radium Hot Pools to unwind and relax in the naturally heated mineral waters surrounded by the steep rock walls of the Sinclair Canyon.

Day 3: Make it Count!

Start Your Day Off Right

Savor a cup of British Columbia roasted from one of the local cafes. Browse Bighorn Cafe’s boutique of locally crafted food items, or head to Screamers – famous for their ice cream, why not add some and make your coffee an affogato? 

Get out on the Water

Experience the beauty of nature up close and personal on a paddle through the Columbia Valley wetlands. Whether you choose a canoe, kayak, or SUP, you’ll find yourself surrounded by stunning scenery and peaceful tranquility.
