By Tourism Radium on July 12, 2022

First time in Radium Hot Springs? Or have you been coming for years? Either way, Radium Hot Springs has some new spots to check out this summer. With new restaurants, activities, and things to do, there’s plenty to see and do in the Village.

Dining

Screamers Ice Cream Cafe

Screamers Ice Cream Café is newly-renovated and officially open for the summer season! The retro-inspired vibe is perfect for a treat after soaking in the Hot Springs pools or hiking the trails. The updated menu at Screamers offers classic ice cream treats, fresh baked goods and specialty coffee.

Renovations at Elements Restaurant

The newly-renovated Elements Restaurant at the Springs Course is a great spot to check out this summer! A fresh new look to the dining room and patio is the perfect compliment to the fresh and tasty menu. Stop in for cocktails overlooking the Columbia Wetlands, or enjoy a meal after a round of golf at the Springs Course.

Activities

Splash Park

2022 marks the opening of the Splash Park in Legend’s Field! The splash park is free and a perfect place to visit on a hot summer day when the kids need a cool down.

Disc Golf at Sinclair Creek

Have you played disc golf yet? Whether you are a seasoned player or brand new to the game, try the 13 holes at Sinclair Creek! Disc golf is fun for the whole family and a great way to get outside. Along the course, be sure to share the trail and watch for hikers.

Mountain Biking Lessons at Nipika Mountain Resort

They say it’s as easy as riding a bike, but is it? This summer Nipika is offering mountain biking lessons. Join the PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association) certified instructors to work on basic skills such as body position, braking, cornering, climbing, descending, technical terrain, reading a trail, and more. Lessons will be geared to rider experience and comfort level. Lessons are offered most days of the week, pending availability.

Places to Stay

New Yurts at Radius

Enjoy the great outdoors in the comfort of a yurt! The yurts at Radius Retreat are perfect for an off-grid getaway that isn’t too far from the Village. This summer, Radius opens up two new yurts on the expansive property bordering Kootenay National Park! Stay in a yurt and explore the massive trail system and activities at Radius.

Retail

 Divine Curiosities

If you are looking for a cool gift (or looking for yourself) check out Divine Curiosities. This new store on Main Street offers everything from tarot cards to crystals.
