Back 40 Outdoor Events

Back 40 Outdoor Events offers nature-based programs for mature adults who want to gain confidence and build skills in the outdoors. Their all-inclusive multi-day programs include introductory hiking, backpacking, paddling, and wilderness preparedness.

They also offer Hike ‘N Sleep programs which combine shorter hikes with accommodations at our basecamp.

Enjoy exclusive use of the Back 40 Outdoor Events basecamp and get an introduction to the private trails located on Brisco Mountain.

Packages include accommodations (canvas bell tent, beds) and a half-day guided interpretive hike on their trails – learn about the flora/fauna/culture/history of the area. Optional add-ons include navigation or orienteering instruction, or half-day guided paddling sessions in the Columbia Wetlands or on the Columbia River.
