On this 3-5 hour flat-water paddle from Invermere to Radium Hot Springs (15km) you can spend a leisurely morning or afternoon on the Columbia River exploring the local waterways.
Self Guided Columbia River Wetlands Tour
Explore the pristine beauty of the wetlands at your own pace.
Guided (Interpreter) Wetlands Tour (2-3 hours)
With a first rate view from your canoe, kayak, or a 10 person voyager canoe, you will venture into the fertile Columbia Valley Wetlands. This 2-3 hour excursion takes you back in history to the findings of Native artifacts from 900 years ago. You will discover facts about the river and wetlands, local birds, fish, reptiles, and animal life in the pristine beauty of the Columbia Valley Wetlands.
When: Thursday evenings. Meet the interpreter at 6:00pm for a 2-3 hour paddle.
Wetlands Paddling/Birding Tour
Full-day guided wildlife viewing tours by kayak or canoe. Explore the world famous Columbia River while honing your kayak or canoe skills, and learning from our naturalist. Minimum group size – 6 people. A delicious shore lunch included.
When: Wednesdays 9:00am – 5:30pm
Columbia River Paddle also provides a shuttle service to destinations within the Columbia Valley to get you on the river and back again.
