Join the Lake Windermere Ambassadors and Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club in an ice cleanup this Saturday March 10th, 1-3pm.
We will head out in teams to pick up as much trash, ash, or dog poop left out on the Whiteway as possible – all bags and plastic gloves are provided. Bring your skates or skis if the conditions are good, it will speed up our cleanup!
If you live in Windermere, you can start at the south end and work your way North; if you live in Invermere, we will head out from Kinsmen Beach. If you live in Timber Ridge or anywhere along the east side of the lake, feel free to pop out and meet us in the middle.
We will re-convene at 3pm at the Kinsmen ice shack for some s’mores and hot chocolate. Everyone will get an “I Love My Lake” appreciation sticker, and opportunity to hang out with a rad group of people for the afternoon!
Please join us for this fun cleanup event and help keep our lake pristine. No pre-registration necessary if you join us at Kinsmen; if you are joining us from any of the communities on the east side or south of Windermere, please let us know so we can coordinate getting you some bags and so we know where you’ll be cleaning.
