Lecture Series the North-West Mounted Police
Are you interested in the early history of the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP)? Founded in 1873, they later became the Royal North-West Mounted Police (RNWMP) in 1904 and then the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in 1920. Today the RCMP are recognized throughout the world as a truly iconic Canadian symbol. This three-day course is an introduction to the endlessly exciting and surprising early history of our national police force which has jurisdiction throughout Canada and its territories.

The presenter is Dr. Rod Martin a retired member of the RCMP and a Canadian History professor from Calgary now living in Invermere.
