Do it Yourself

With 50km of trails for mountain biking, hiking, and trail running there are trail options for all abilities. Wide, undulating trail for beginners, narrower with some elevation for intermediate, and single track with steep hills and roots for advanced.

Nipika’s south trails offers beginner terrain. The north trails towards the Cross River vary from beginner to intermediate and expert. And the trails on the north side of the Cross River, across the Natural Bridge, are expert.

Pack some snacks and hike or bike down to the Kootenay or Cross Rivers for a relaxing break. Or make your way to the Natural Bridge for unmatched beauty.

Play A Round

If biking and hiking is not your thing, spend the day in the forest playing Nipika’s 18-hole disc golf course. Expect a few tight-wooded and cliff-side fairways with beautiful mountain and river views. There are tee boxes for professional and amateur players, and the course length is approximately 4.5km long.

Go With A Guide

See the mountains from a different vantage point: the river! Hop into one of Nipika’s stable canoes for a jaunt down the Kootenay River. Guides coach you along the way to paddle on moving water, around winding bends, and over stretches of rapids.

If it’s alpine you seek but aren’t comfortable doing it alone, sign up for a guided day hike. There are many gorgeous hikes to choose from to suit your comfort and fitness levels (think wildflowers, panoramic views, tucked away lakes.)
