Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is located 14 km outside of Golden, British Columbia, one hour North of Radium Hot Springs. The Resort is situated in the Dogtooth Range of the Purcell Mountains, surrounded by six National Parks: Yoho, Banff, Glacier, Kootenay, Mt. Revelstoke, and Jasper.
Ranked "Best Powder in North America" by Skiing Magazine, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort also has one of the longest verticle drops in Canada (1,260 m/4,133 ft) with 2,750 acres of big mountain terrain including 70 inbound chutes, vast alpine bowls, sheltered glades, and long fall-line trails. Options range from double black diamond "Whitewall" to 10-km-long green cruiser "It's a Ten".
The Golden Eagle Express is a walk-in eight-passenger gondola that whisks riders to the summit in 18 minutes. Two quads, one double chair, and two surface lifts for kids serve the rest of the mountain.
A two story 8,600-square-foot Day Lodge provides guest services, ticketing, shopping, and a cafeteria. Canada's highest elevation restaurant, Eagle's Eye, is situated on the mountaintop at 7,705 feet with spectacular views of the surrounding Selkirk and Rocky Mountains and Columbia River Valley.
